Holstens x-rays were stable today, he still has right and left pleural effusions, but they’re not changing.
They didn’t even have to tell him how/where to stand this time because he’s had one every week for the last month 🤪 Then he picked Chick-fil-A for a treat!

How Holsten feels about getting to come HOME!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 hopefully we get to stay away longer this time!!!!
His labs are starting to look pretty wonky so we will start to TRY to get some of these meds worked down, so that means going up weekly for X-rays!
Pray his fluid stays where it is or goes down!! That way he can stay out of the hospital!!

Got to take a trip to the play room ❤️

The docs and surgeon are still just watching Holsten with daily X-rays (sometimes multiple) and trying to get some of his diuretics down.
He is on a ton of medicine right now!!
They had to urgently pull his chest tube a few days ago, so they switched his meds.
He has started to re-accumulate again, but it’s a very small amount so they’re comfortable just watching it. If he starts to do like before he will be taking a trip to the cath lab and we will go from there.

I don’t have a picture to share of Holsten right now just because the last couple days have been pretty up and down. I won’t go into great detail, but I will ask for all the prayers we can get. Holsten keeps taking step after step backwards, and he is just tired. The next couple days he will probably be having 2 more procedures, but we won’t know for sure until tomorrow. They had to pull his chest tube this morning, but not because they wanted to. So he got the day without it and he just is filling right back up with fluid over and over again, with no help from medicine. Please pray that they can get to the bottom of his current issues, and pray that maybe by some odd chance he can just wake up better tomorrow ❤️ We hate to see our little guy like this

Not really making any big moves right now. Just trying to find a new home medicine regimen - but he is still putting out a lot in his chest tube, so they’re doing lots of tests to try and find the cause 🙏🏻

Holsten has a new chest tube, and he’s been pretty upset about having to do it all over again.
Pray that things start looking up from here 🙏🏻
