With up to 95 baby deliveries in just one week, the need to expand our labor and delivery rooms to meet the needs of growing families was a must for The Christ Hospital Health Network's Labor and Delivery Unit on our Mt. Auburn campus.

One of those growing family's is expecting dad, Sam Hubbard. In this Unsung Heroes segment, Sam meets Olivia, one of our labor and delivery nurses who gives him the rundown of her role in caring for mom and baby, a look at one of our new delivery rooms, and the reality of weather inducing birth moments.

700 FARAPULSE procedures. 700 reasons to celebrate our heart rhythm team.

AFib can leave people exhausted, short of breath or wondering when their heart will race again. Treatment aims to reduce those episodes and symptoms, so patients can get back to more of their everyday lives.

The Christ Hospital Health Network's electrophysiology team has now performed 700 procedures using Boston Scientific's FARAPULSE pulsed field ablation system, which uses electrical pulses to target the heart tissue involved in AFib.

This milestone reflects the work of our entire clinical team, including electrophysiologists Daniel Pelchovitz MD, medical director of The Christ Hospital Heart & Vascular Institute; Andrew Noll, MD, medical director of the Electrophysiology Program; Daniel Beyerbach, MD; and Karam Ayoub, MD.

To the nurses, technicians and team members who care for patients before, during and after each procedure: thank you and congratulations on 700 procedures!

Robotic-assisted surgery has expanded at The Christ Hospital Medical Center in Liberty Township.

Dr. Steven Weber is one of several general surgeons, along with gynecologic surgeons, performing outpatient robotic procedures at our Liberty campus using the da Vinci Xi robot, which provides enhanced visualization and maneuverability.

We’re proud to continue expanding access to surgical innovations for our patients in Liberty Township.
