Stretching the same spot but nothing changes?

It’s not always about stretching more — it’s about paying attention to how your body actually moves.

Where you feel the stretch. Which side always feels tighter. How your body compensates without you realizing it.

The small details matter.

Because the area that feels tight isn’t always the problem.
Pay attention to the pattern, not just the tension.

If stretching hasn’t been giving you the results you need, it may be time to look a little deeper.

Comment “ASSESS” and I’ll send you the link to book your session.🌿

Recovery shouldn’t start when pain forces it.

Athletes plan training. Recovery should be planned too.

Most recurring pain starts as compensation long before it becomes a problem. Proactive recovery helps you stay ahead of breakdown instead of catching up.

At Calming Souls, your Detailed Bodywork Session is built around what your body needs that day — assessment, pattern-based treatment, movement, and hands-on work all in one session. No more guessing what to book. Just show up in comfortable athletic clothing and we handle the rest.

You can now book in-office at Spruce Nail Shop or The Pilates Table in Reading, OH. Mobile sessions are available by request with a 2-hour minimum.

If you train hard but recovery has been reactive, book a session and start treating recovery like part of performance.🤞

Reverse lunges feeling shaky or uneven?

That’s usually not just a strength gap.

It often traces back to an old ankle, knee, or hip injury. The body redistributes the load to keep you moving… but one side ends up carrying more than its share. Eventually, that imbalance starts to feel normal.

In your Detailed Bodywork Session, we look at how your body loads each side and where the compensation started — then use the right combination of techniques and movement to restore balance so every rep feels controlled and confident.

Book at Spruce Nail Shop or The Pilates Table in Reading, OH. Mobile sessions are still available by request for those who need flexibility.

If one side has never quite felt right, book your session and start rebuilding trust in the movement.🌿

I’m looking for athletes and active adults who are willing to help me better understand what recovery really means to them.

Not just “where are you sore?”

But what are you training for?

What happens when your body feels tight, limited, or off?

What do you feel like you lose when your body is not moving the way you want it to?

And what would it feel like to have your body fully supported while working toward your goals?

I’m opening up a small number of Athlete Research Sessions for runners, golfers, cyclists, hybrid athletes, former athletes, and active adults who care deeply about how their body performs.

You’ll receive an in-depth bodywork session at a special study rate in exchange for your honest feedback and participation in a deeper intake conversation.

This is for you if your biggest competitor is you, and you know recovery needs to become a more intentional part of your routine.

If this sounds like you, comment “ME” and I’ll send you the form.🌿

Another update coming to Calming Souls Massage is the way sessions will be conducted.

We’re moving toward a more clinical, athletic recovery-style setup, which means sessions will no longer be sheet-based.

If you’ve had a session with me before, you know there’s a lot of movement involved — stretching, repositioning, active release, and targeted work based on what your body needs.

This setup allows us to move more freely and work more efficiently, similar to what you’d experience in an athletic training room, physical therapy clinic, or chiropractic setting.

What to wear:

Comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move.

The goal is to make sessions more effective, more functional, and more aligned with the kind of care Calming Souls provides.

Save this so you know what to expect at your next appointment.🌿

Hi friends — I wanted to give you a heads up that some updates are coming to Calming Souls Massage as we continue growing and refining the client experience.

These changes are designed to make booking easier, sessions more intentional, and your care more consistent.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll see updates to:

How services are structured
What to expect during sessions
Where sessions will take place
How mobile appointments will work moving forward

The goal is simple: less confusion, more clarity, and a better recovery experience for you.

More details coming soon — thank you for continuing to support Calming Souls as we grow.📶

Feeling seated rows more in your neck than your back?

That’s rarely a strength problem.

It’s a pattern built from old shoulder or upper back compensation.
Your body adapts to keep you pulling…but the wrong muscles take over.

The movement still happens —it just doesn’t feel the way it should.

Your first session begins with a full recovery assessment to
understand how your body is managing the movement.

From there, we work to restore the pattern so your back can take the lead again.

Mobile recovery available — at home, the gym, or your office.

If pulling movements haven’t felt right in a while, book your first session and start getting to the root of it.🌿

Bicep curls creating tension in your shoulder?

That’s usually not an arm problem — it’s about how your shoulder is stabilizing the movement.

After past injuries, the shoulder often picks up extra work it was never meant to handle, even during simple lifts. The movement still happens, but it never feels clean.

Recovery focuses on restoring how the shoulder supports the arm so everything works together the way it should. When needed, we also connect you with trusted wellness professionals to support your long-term progress.

Mobile recovery — brought to you.

If arm work hasn’t been feeling right, book your session and start moving better.🌿

I said that to myself in my client’s bathroom — in tears — after they shared devastating news about their health.

There’s hope for them.

But I was still shaken.

“I get too close to my clients.”

“This is too much.”

“I care too much,” I thought.

But this connection I have with my clients?

I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I feel incredibly grateful when my clients share job offers, new opportunities, their kids going to college, hitting a PR, completing a competition they’ve trained months for… and even the tough stuff — like an unexpected diagnosis.

The “therapist” in massage therapist is so much more than I ever realized it would be when I enrolled in school almost 10 years ago.

But I’m grateful — every single time — when someone new gets on my table and that journey of trust begins.

Because this work isn’t just bodywork.

It’s relationship.

It’s awareness.

It’s being present when your body — and your life — are changing.

So to my current clients, thank you for trusting me.

And to the clients to come — I look forward to earning your trust.

If you’re ready for care that sees the whole picture — not just the pain — book your session.

Let’s start building that trust.
