What awakening is really about:
When you begin awakening, it’s not just about light and love. It’s about recognizing that the person you thought you were isn’t really who you are. You realize you’ve been playing a role, people-pleasing and seeking approval simply to feel safe.
As you grow, you’ll notice that the old version of yourself no longer fits who you are becoming. And the journey doesn’t end when you reach some destination. A month later, you’ll look back and realize you’re not even the same person you were then. Awakening is an ongoing process of discovering who you are, releasing old beliefs, and questioning what you once accepted as truth.
Friendships may fall away. Conversations that once felt meaningful can begin to feel empty because you’re no longer relating to them in the same way. It can be lonely at times, especially before new connections arrive. Yet through it all, you begin to see patterns you can no longer ignore.
You may find yourself standing on the outside of conversations, noticing what truly drives people’s behavior. There will be moments when you wish you didn’t see so much—but once you know, you can’t unknow it.
Awakening is not comfortable. It is a gradual dismantling followed by a rebuilding. It strips away labels, roles, and identities that were never truly yours. It asks you to stop blaming, to become honest about what you’re feeling, and to take responsibility for your own growth.
It becomes less about approval and more about authenticity.
We all awaken at our own pace, so allow others to be exactly where they are on their journey. This path can feel lonely, but what you gain is something priceless: the freedom to live as your true self, comfortable in your own skin.
I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.
