🎉 Happy Birthday to MVSC’s official handyman, Scott!
From installing surgical lights and creating much of the furniture you see throughout our clinic, to coming to our rescue when we somehow manage to lock ourselves out of the doctor’s office 😂—Scott can truly do it all!
We are so grateful for all the time, talent, and hard work he puts into helping us around the clinic. MVSC wouldn’t be quite the same without you.
Happy Birthday! We hope you have an amazing day! 🥳🔨🎂

⚠️ Warning ⛔️ Surgery pictures

This is Ray- who needed an R and A!

The most handsomest of cattle dogs, Ray had a squeaker hanging out in his intestines. Unfortunately, that squeaker caused significant damage to the tissues of the surrounding intestines, and we needed to remove a small section of intestines to allow for appropriate healing- this is called a resection and anastomosis. It is an intense procedure and requires a lot of rest and relaxation post op- something that Ray struggles to do!

With a lot of love and patience from his parents- Ray has made a full recovery! He was in today to get his staples removed- and we’re so happy he’s doing well! As soon as his staples were out, he took hold of his leash and marched himself right out our door 😂

Good luck Ray!!! No more foreign bodies please! ❤️🤞🏼

Eloise. ❤️

If you met Eloise today, you might not know just how far she’s come.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Eloise was brought to us after suddenly collapsing. She was critically ill, unable to walk, and we discovered a large abdominal mass that had ruptured and was bleeding internally. Her dad was out of the country at the time, so the team at MVSC stabilized her, and then transferred her to Medvet for emergency surgery that she desperately needed. Her dad flew home that night and was able to see her the following day.

The diagnosis that followed was devastating. Eloise has significant metastatic cancer, and unfortunately, there is no curative treatment available for her.

But her story didn't end there.

With an incredible amount of time, energy and love, paired with physical rehabilitation, a lot of meds and a lot of hard work at home, Eloise slowly began to regain her strength. She went from being unable to stand, to using a cart, to walking again! ❤️

And look at her now.

She is happy. She is comfortable. She is surrounded by love. And for right now, she is thriving.

There are moments in veterinary medicine when the goal isn't to cure. Sometimes, it's simply to give a family more time together—and to make that time as good as it can possibly be.

Eloise's dad trusted her. He trusted us. And most importantly, he never stopped believing in her.

We are so incredibly proud of this girl, and so grateful that we get to be part of her story. Keep walking, Eloise. We love you. ❤️🐾

We had such an amazing experience going down to Paycor Stadium and pitching for the 2026 Earn Your Stripes competition!! While we didn’t win, we will never forget this experience! From getting to pitch our business, meeting so many great people, walking out of the tunnel and onto the field, and posing with Who Dey- this was an amazing day from start to finish! A huge congratulations to Mercedes Brown! 🧡
