The Cincy Blues Society holds open meetings via Google Meet on the first Monday of the month. Since the Cincy Blues Societyโ€™s founding in 1990, the area blues scene has expanded from a handful of bands and clubs with very few national acts touring through, to a vibrant local scene with over 40 bands, numerous clubs, several yearly blues festivals and multi-act events produced by the Cincy Blues Society as well as other organizations and businesses, and a healthy stream of national touring acts coming through our area. Weโ€™re proud that so many of the national acts weโ€™ve had at the Cincy Blues Fest have made this area a return stop for their tours. The Cincy Blues Society is a member-supported, 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization which encourages and facilitates both performance and educational events and projects based around blues music. Our mission is to promote and advance the culture and tradition of Blues music as an original American art form. The Cincy Blues Society is proudly sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council. After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—น ๐—™๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐—ผ๐˜๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐— ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—™๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฎ๐—น ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, ๐˜€๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ข๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌโ€“๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฃ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—ฆ๐˜. ๐—๐—ผ๐—ฒ.

Our area has already received significant rainfall, leaving saturated ground and creating concerns about flooding. We explored moving the festival indoors, but the weather situation has continued to become more uncertain.

In addition, a tropical system in the Gulf now has a greater chance of developing, adding another level of concern for the days ahead.

With artists, patrons, crew members, and supporters traveling to Port St. Joe from throughout Florida and across the country, the safety of everyone traveling to and from our community has to come first.

Unfortunately, rescheduling the festival for another date is not feasible at this time due to the logistics involved in coordinating artists, production, facilities, staff, and travel.

We know how much many of you were looking forward to this weekend.

I see many blues events being cancelled, touring blues bands having a more challenging time than ever, blues fans aging out, etc.

What are your thoughts on the future of blues? Live blues, recorded blues, local blues, international blues, the whole industry.

More importantly, what can we do to help keep the blues strong?

We can not be more excited...3CDC has included Cincy Blues Society to help out with a band for BLINK on Friday October 9, 2026 at Washington Park from 12 to 3 pm.
Please join us at BLINK when David Sherman Burk & Reece Murray take the stage.

Reminder there will be No Wednesday Night Blues & Brews on Oct 7 & 14. We will return Wednesday October 21 ( Ricky Nye ) and October 28 ( Cincy Rhythm Kings Steve Schmitt )
