We need your input for the 2022 Safe Sets Summit

SAG-AFTRA and IATSE Local 488 are once again looking to present a Safe Sets Summit. We hope to have participation and support from our kin in the other Entertainment Unions involved in production: DGA and Teamsters as well as key, industry stakeholders.

The event would be open to everyone in the industry regardless of Union affiliation.

We hope to have engaging presentations and discussion groups on safety topics covering work both on set and off-production.

The plan is developing but fluid at this point as we wish to include all voices and ideas as well as produce an event which can be experienced throughout the Pacific Northwest. Please help us in planning this event by filling out this brief survey at your earliest convenience.

The event will be held the last week of April to coincide with Workers' Memorial Day which is honored every year on April 28th .

We look forward to your input !!

Motion Picture workers often work in extreme conditions to produce the movies, commercials and video content the world consumes. IATSE Local 488 Studio Mechanics of the Pacific Northwest are thankful we now have these protections and are working to make this standard permanent.

Oregon will require employers to provide workers with cool-down breaks and better access to shade and cool water on hot days under new emergency workplace rules adopted Thursday.
