☯️ Female pelvic anatomy, Chinese Medicine Edition 🌿
Cinnabar Field. Egg Nest. Jade Gate. Jade Terrace. Yin Dao. Yin Gate.
Feel free to whisper these names to yourself or even say them out loud. And maybe notice how differently your body receives them compared to the clinical terms most of us were handed in health class.
The words we use to name our bodies shape how we inhabit them, tend and teach our children to relate to them.
When maidens learn that their uterus is a ❤️ Cinnabar Field, a place of warmth, transformation, and concentrated life force, they learn to revere it. When they learn that this is the place every human being ever born came from. Our first home. The original celestial 🌌 water we all bathed in.
This is the kind of reclamation we weave into the Maiden's Moon. Teaching our maidens not just the anatomy, but the poetry of how they are literally nature. Not just how the body works, but what it means to live inside one with reverence, curiosity, and belonging.
Because body literacy is not just information.
It's a homecoming. 🌿

Quick note: these names come from the bedroom arts texts of classical China, written by men, about female bodies. Like much of what has been handed down to us through history, they are worth receiving with both gratitude and discernment. The beauty is real. And the source is worth knowing. 🌙
