During this month’s circle, we tend to our hearts.
Grief is something we all experience, yet it isn’t always easy to name. It doesn’t always come from the passing of a loved one. Sometimes it is invisible, unclear, or unspoken. It may be an ending of a season, releasing something we hoped for that didn’t come to be, or letting go of a version of ourselves that no longer exists.
Because grief and gratitude coexist, we acknowledge that dark and light are both part of the human experience. We recognize that we do not have to be grateful for suffering, we can allow gratitude to soften the edges of grief.
There is no need to arrive with the right words. Just come as you are.
