Strong communities are built through connection.

This week, take a moment to check in on a neighbor, support a local initiative, or simply ask someone how they’re doing, and really listen to the answer.

Small actions create ripple effects. Whether it’s sharing resources, volunteering time, or showing kindness, every effort contributes to a healthier, more connected community.

We all play a role in prevention through connection.

June is Pride Month, a time to recognize, uplift, and support LGBTQ+ individuals in our communities.

Affirming environments and inclusive support systems are protective factors that reduce risk across multiple areas, including substance use, mental health challenges, and youth crisis involvement. When young people feel seen, accepted, and valued, outcomes improve.

Prevention work is community work, and inclusivity is part of that foundation. Let’s continue building spaces where every individual can thrive safely and authentically.

Bridge to Nutrition would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our community for your incredible support during this year’s USPS Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Because of your generosity, thousands of pounds of food were collected to help support local families experiencing food insecurity throughout Harrison County and surrounding communities. The donations collected through this effort will help participating food pantries continue providing assistance to neighbors in need.

We would also like to thank the USPS mail carriers, volunteers, pantry staff, community partners, sponsors, and everyone who donated their time, energy, and resources to make this year’s drive a success.

Bridge to Nutrition is made up of 18 food pantries working together to address food insecurity across our community, and this annual food drive continues to show the impact that can be made when people come together to help one another.

Your support truly makes a difference, and we are grateful for every contribution.

Thank you for helping bridge the gap between hunger and hope.
