Our team recently received some exciting news about the continued growth and sustainability of Ethnē Health. It represents years of faithful work, a commitment to excellence, and the vision that our founders had from the very beginning: a place where our neighbors can find high-quality, comprehensive care and truly feel at home.

We are incredibly grateful to the staff, volunteers, partners, supporters, and friends who have helped us reach this moment. We did not get here alone.

We were excited to partner with New American Pathways by sending volunteer pediatric dentist Dr. Lisa Lee to provide oral health education to youth at their summer program. Caring for our neighbors means more than treating illness—it also means equipping the next generation with the knowledge and confidence to stay healthy. Thank you to Dr. Lee and Christina Chung for serving our community!

When Hasna arrived in the United States from Myanmar as a teenager, she was stepping into an unfamiliar world. As a student at Global Village Project , she found encouragement, belonging, and the confidence to begin building a new future.

Today, she serves as the Front Desk Coordinator at Ethnē Health — Medical Home in Clarkston, GA, where she’s often the very first face patients see. Her warm smile and compassionate presence help patients from across Clarkston feel welcomed, understood, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

Her journey is a beautiful reminder that investing in people has a ripple effect. Yesterday’s students become today’s healthcare professionals, neighbors, and community leaders.

Hasna’s advice to her younger self—and to the next generation of GVP girls:

“It’s okay not to have everything figured out during moments of change. Those difficult transitions feel overwhelming at the time, but over time, they shape you in ways you don’t immediately see. You’re not behind. You’re still learning, and growth takes time.”

When Glory arrived in the United States from Myanmar in 2011, she was just 13 years old. After spending her childhood in a refugee camp along the Thailand-Myanmar border, she was beginning a new chapter of life in Clarkston.

As a student at Global Village Project, she found a place of belonging and the opportunity to build a new future. Today, she serves as a Dental Assistant at Ethnē Dental, where she's passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, understood, and cared for.

For Glory, that work is deeply personal.

"I want to work where I can serve my community. A lot of people in our community are scared to come to the dentist, but when they see people who speak their language and understand their culture, they are more comfortable. That means everything to me."

From a refugee camp, to GVP, to a dental chair at Ethnē, her journey is a beautiful reminder that investing in people has a ripple effect. Yesterday's students become today's healthcare professionals, neighbors, and community leaders.

Glory's advice to her younger self—and to the next generation of GVP girls:

"New beginnings may seem difficult and overwhelming, with many failures along the way. Embrace them, carry on, give yourself some grace, and stay hopeful."

Looking back on the unforgettable days with , and our hearts are full!

From conference sessions that sharpened our vision for whole-person and spiritual health, to team cooking, backyard laughs, and music circles under the city sky, every moment refueled and reminded us why we do this.

We listened, we learned, we served, and we grew closer as a team grounded in compassion and community. So much to be grateful for the knowledge shared, the meals passed hand to hand, and the people who make this work feel like family.
