Food Connects Us is the theme this year and is very true. As people move, they take their culture with them and share it with those around them. The easiest way to share it is through food. This month, try some new foods and learn some better eating habits along the way.

Good nutrition is a balance of all the things that we consume. With that being said, hot chocolate can be healthy by what you make it with. To make a good basic hot chocolate, you can use warm milk and some dark chocolate without all the added sugar from premade mixes.

Popcorn is a popular movie snack but can also be a healthy snack. 3 cups of air popped popcorn is considered 1 serving which is around 90-100 calories. Of course when you add butter, salt or other flavorings/toppings, the calorie count goes up.
