🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a time to honor those affected, raise awareness, and take a more proactive approach to our health.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re hosting a special Thermography Screening Day at The Apathecary Natural Health Center.

🔥 October 23rd | 9 AM–3 PM
📍 The Apathecary Natural Health Center

We’re excited to partner with Health Scan Thermography and welcome Melinda, our certified thermography technician, for the day.

And this isn’t limited to breast screening!

You can choose from several thermography scan options:

🎀 Breast Plus — breast and surrounding areas
🔥 Half Body — a broader look at patterns of thermal activity
🔥 Full Body — the most comprehensive scan option

Thermography is a non-invasive, radiation-free imaging tool that measures patterns of heat at the skin’s surface. It can provide additional information to discuss with your healthcare provider and is not intended to diagnose or replace conventional breast imaging.

October is a beautiful reminder that being proactive about your health matters.

Know your body. Listen to your body. Advocate for your health. ❤️

Appointments are limited, so reach out to reserve your spot!

Cortisol alone doesn’t tell the whole story.

Your body doesn’t operate in isolated lab values.

Cortisol, DHEA, and inflammation markers together can give you a much clearer picture of how your body is responding to stress and where there may be underlying imbalance.

The goal isn’t just to “fix” a number.

It’s to understand the pattern and the root cause.

Want to understand what your hormones and inflammation markers are telling you? Comment “CORTISOL” and we’ll send you more information.

You don’t need to build an entire clinic to have a professional place to see patients.

What if you could see your patients in a beautiful functional-health clinic…without opening your own clinic?

We’re opening a limited number of spaces at The Apathecary for like-minded practitioners.

If you’re a practitioner who believes in root-cause care, whole-person health, and actually spending time with your patients, we may be looking for you.

You bring your expertise and your patients. We provide the professional space and infrastructure.

We’re looking for a small collective of practitioners who complement—not compete with—what we already do.

Tell us about your practice, what you offer, and who you serve.

If you’ve been dreaming about having your own practice but aren’t ready for the overhead of your own building, comment SPACE or send us a DM.

Insulin resistance isn’t just a glucose problem. It’s a signaling problem.🚫🆘

Your body can keep your blood sugar looking “normal” for years by producing more and more insulin to compensate.

That’s why looking at glucose alone doesn’t tell the whole metabolic story.

Tirzepatide is a peptide that mimics GIP + GLP-1, two hormones involved in metabolic signaling. By supporting these pathways, it can help improve insulin sensitivity and how the body responds to glucose.

These tools aren’t about replacing what the body naturally does.

They’re about supporting the body’s natural signals so they can work more optimally.

And addressing insulin resistance early matters because metabolic dysfunction can increase the risk of conditions like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Don’t wait until your glucose is high to start paying attention to insulin.

If you’d like more information about what we are doing at The Apathecary comment insulin and we’ll message you!

What if these aren’t seven separate problems?

What if you’re looking at one system that isn’t functioning optimally?

Your bile. 🌿

Bile is about more than digestion. It supports fat absorption, cholesterol metabolism, hormone clearance, nutrient absorption, gut health, and elimination.

When bile production or flow is sluggish, symptoms can show up in places you wouldn’t expect.

🟢 Cholesterol: Bile helps transport and eliminate cholesterol.

🟢 Vitamin D: Because vitamin D is fat-soluble, proper bile flow supports its absorption.

🟢 Estrogen: The liver processes estrogen, which is then eliminated through bile. Impaired clearance can contribute to estrogen recirculation.

🟢 Histamine: Histamine metabolism involves the gut and liver, making digestive health part of the bigger picture.

🟢 Ferritin + hair loss: Low iron stores can contribute to hair shedding. “Normal” doesn’t always mean optimal.

🟢 Thyroid: The liver helps metabolize thyroid hormones, so digestive and liver function can influence the bigger picture.

And don’t overlook constipation. If you aren’t eliminating regularly, you may not be efficiently clearing what your body has already processed.

Then there’s STRESS.

Chronic stress can affect digestion, motility, and biliary function. When your body is stuck in fight-or-flight, digestion isn’t always the priority.

And diet matters.

We’ve become so focused on high protein and low carb that we sometimes forget about fiber-rich carbohydrates, plants, healthy fats, and adequate calories.

Protein matters. But so does balance.

Your body needs the right raw materials to digest, metabolize, detoxify, and eliminate effectively.

This is why I don’t want you treating every symptom as an isolated problem.

Look for the pattern. Look upstream.

Ask:

“Why is my body creating this pattern in the first place?” 🌿

👉 Comment “BILE” and we’ll send you more information on supporting healthy digestion and bile flow.

Your blood sugar can look “normal” while metabolic dysfunction is already developing.

That’s why looking beyond glucose and A1C—at fasting insulin, triglycerides, HDL, and other metabolic markers—can give you a more complete picture of what’s happening beneath the surface.

Don’t wait for disease to show up before you start paying attention. Your body often whispers before it screams.

Comment “METABOLIC” if you want to learn more about comprehensive labs and we will send you information about our consultations.

What if Alzheimer’s disease is about more than just amyloid plaques?

A major 2006 Alzheimer’s study that helped shape the amyloid theory was later challenged over concerns about manipulated images and was ultimately retracted.

That doesn’t mean amyloid doesn’t matter. It means the story is much more complicated.

Today, researchers are investigating the roles of neuroinflammation, microglial activation, insulin resistance, metabolic dysfunction, oxidative stress, mitochondrial health, and vascular function in brain aging and cognitive decline.

Your brain doesn’t exist in isolation. Your metabolic health, immune system, gut, circulation, and inflammation can all influence brain health.

So instead of only asking, “How do we manage cognitive decline?” we should also be asking:

“What is driving the dysfunction in the first place?”

If you’re concerned about memory, brain fog, inflammation, or long-term cognitive health, schedule a FREE consultation to learn how a personalized, root-cause approach may help support your health.
