Get Your Happy Back isn't about always being happy and flashing your perma-grin everywhere you go. That would be ridiculous ... and weird. It's about inspiring and empowering you to make your happiness a priority and enabling you with thoughts, tools, skills, ideas, and perspectives that might help you get your happy back again and again.

The hardest part isn’t knowing what to say.

It’s believing you’re worth saying it.

If you’ve been here a while, you know the parenting workshop. If you’re new — comment HALP and I’ll send it to you. $37, 80 minutes, and it will change how you run your house.

But that’s not why I’m posting this.

I’m figuring out how to do for relationships what that workshop did for parents. Name the exact problem. Give you the exact thing to say or do. Short, concrete, no fluff.

Follow along. I’m just getting started.

That covers it.

If your kids have asked you the same question more than twice today, this is your sign. The Greenlight Hub is a literal family command center — trip dates, chores, schedules, earnings, all in one app. Kids check it themselves. Parents get their sanity back.

If mornings in your house feel like a battle, this system changed everything for us 🎵

I was the alarm clock. The reminder. The nag. “Did you brush your teeth? Where’s your backpack? We’re going to be LATE.”

Until I figured out how to meet their little time-blind brains where they were and remove myself from most of their process.

We use what I call The Playlist System — a Spotify playlist timed to our exact morning, set to play automatically every school day at the same time, in the same order. When the music stops, it’s time to walk out the door.

Swipe for the full step-by-step.

And if your kids struggle with time — this isn’t a parenting fail. The part of the brain responsible for time perception isn’t fully developed until age 25. They need an external system. This is it.

💬 Comment HALP if you want to learn more about our Family Rule System — including what happens when they’re late.

📌 Save this for back to school season.

The more I figured out how to remove myself from the management of my kids’ morning routine, the better it was. Kids get to feel accomplished and capable when they manage themselves :) Having a parent squawk orders sounds like a lot of criticism, puts everyone in a mood, and sets interactions up to fail. We started in KG with visual morning to-do lists, playlists to keep time, and CLEAR expectations and motivators with our Family Rules.

Want more info and the exact templates we use? Comment HALP for more info.
