What does “balance” mean to you?

To me, balance is about being intentional with my time, energy, and priorities so that one area of my life doesn’t negatively impact the other areas.

It can look like:

✨ Ending work on time.
✨ Taking care of your body before
it says, “enough.”
✨ Making time for things that bring
you joy.
✨ Being fully present with the
people you love.

Balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly.

It’s about creating a lifestyle that allows you to show up for your work and in your personal life without always feeling drained and overwhelmed.

If your life feels out of balance, you’re not alone. Give yourself permission to pause, notice what you need, and make one small change today.

How is your life beyond work?

Your work matters, but it doesn’t have to consume your life.

There is more to your life than emails, meetings, and deadlines.

There are people you love.

There are hobbies that you miss or want to try.

There is a version of you that exists beyond your job title.

Pause and reflect: What is one small change you can make today to create more space for the life you want outside of work?

What is your body telling you to make time for?

Maybe it’s asking for more sleep.

More movement.

Less screen time.

A glass of water.

An appointment you’ve been putting off.

Or simply… rest.

Maybe you’ve noticed the headaches, tight shoulders, aching back, tired eyes, or that exhaustion that doesn’t seem to go away.

It can be tempting to dismiss these signals with, “I’m just tired. I’ll deal with it later.”

Pause today and ask:

“What is one small thing I can do today to take better care of myself?”

Your well-being matters! 🌸

Living with more joy, peace, hope, and purpose! ✨

I’ve learned to slow down, appreciate where I am, and make space for what truly matters.

I’m choosing to be more present and intentional about caring for my mind, body, and spirit, while encouraging and supporting others.

Life is a journey, and I’m looking forward to the new experiences and opportunities ahead.

Thank you for your support and encouragement along the way!

When life gets busy, who gets moved to the bottom of the list?

If your answer is you, you’re not alone.

When you constantly put yourself last, eventually you may find yourself showing up exhausted and running on autopilot.

đź“… Put yourself on the calendar.

Schedule the walk.

Schedule the quiet time.

Schedule the thing you’ve been saying you’ll get around to.

Taking care of yourself is essential to showing up fully for others.

What is one thing you can put on your calendar that is just for YOU?

When was the last time you felt like yourself?

Not just productive.

Not just responsible.

Not just the woman who keeps everything moving.

When was the last time you felt fully present, energized, and connected to who you really are?

Sometimes, having someone help you slow down, see the bigger picture, and take practical steps toward feeling more like yourself again is exactly what you need.

If this resonates with you, message me “HELP” to learn how I can support you.

Someone asked me what has made the biggest difference in how I work and live now.

1) Strengthening my relationship with God through prayer and Bible Study

2) Awareness and interruption of perfectionism

3) Deep belly breathing helps me bounce back from frustration and stress much quicker.

I have more peace, calm, and clarity in my life and have better control over my thoughts and emotions.

I hope sharing my story helps others understand me better and know that they don’t have to accept constant overwhelm as a normal part of life.

08/21/2026

For years, I poured so much of myself into caring for others as a physical therapist. I loved helping people, but somewhere along the way, I lost sight of what it meant to care for myself.

Eventually, the stress and demands caught up with me. I experienced burnout, and it taught me a lesson I will never forget:

I learned that I needed to manage my stress effectively and create boundaries around my work so I could protect my health and personal life.

That experience changed the way I think about wellness.

I realized that taking care of your health shouldn’t be something you postpone until you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or burned out.

That realization became part of the reason I created Living Your Desk Life.

Today, my mission is to help women step back, reconnect with themselves, and create a life that supports their well-being while pursuing their professional and personal goals.

I want women to feel energized, confident, purposeful, and present in their lives and not simply trying to make it through another workday.

Thank you, Victor Felix, for helping me share my story with the world!

How do you know if you are headed toward burnout?

Burnout usually doesn’t happen overnight.

It can begin with small changes you might dismiss as “just being tired” or “having a stressful week.”

Pay attention if you’ve noticed yourself:

→ Feeling tired even after getting enough sleep
→ Becoming more irritable or impatient
→ Struggling to concentrate or stay focused
→ Skipping breaks because there’s “too much to do”
→ Feeling like work is consuming more of your life
→ Losing motivation for things you normally enjoy

One sign by itself doesn’t necessarily mean you’re headed toward burnout.

When several of these patterns become your new normal, it may be time to pause and pay attention.

Burnout prevention is about recognizing the signals early and making intentional changes before exhaustion becomes your normal.

If you want to improve your current work-life rhythm, Message me “HELP” and let’s explore what may be putting you at risk for burnout.
