Thank you Caite Wolak, you w**d killer! We kicked some ass this morning spreading mulch and placing rocks. Got everything w**d whacked today. Here’s where you all come in!!

Tomorrow night starting at 6, stop in and help get the rest knocked out for Clayton Day. If you can’t make tomorrow night, feel free to stop down there tonight. Need to get the rocks and mulch moved all the way down to the sign. If anyone has a backhoe or big tiller, feel free to take the top layer off around the sign and down the walkway to the mulch. There’s 2 tons of rock there and 8 yds of mulch. Plenty of work to do. Also, the new pallet came to match the other side of the butterfly garden. Those pavers need to be laid.

Thank you and look forward to meeting everyone down at the garden!!

We’re just about 3 years into this garden. I’ve been posting since then. I’ve begged, pleaded, gotten sarcastic and actually sent some nasty posts. It’s a lot of work and not many participating. With almost 1000 followers, I know people are interested. I’m going to beg one more time and I’m going to share this to all of the Clayton pages. Saturday is Clayton Day!

We were going to do a clean up Saturday. Unfortunately, there’s too much set up going on for that to happen. So, PLEASE, show up this Thursday night June 11th 6-dark. We have to make it look good for Clayton Day. We’re getting river rock and mulch delivered Wednesday afternoon. Need to fill up the flower bed from the corner all the way down to the garden sign. Please, show up and help out. The more hands we get the faster it’ll get done. Thank you! Be a part of your Community!!

Just some of the marvelous views at the garden today! Butterfly’s and bees all over. Fresh lettuce ready to be picked. Mulch finished on the front side of the garden. Now here is where the community comes in. Mulch needs to be added from the corner down the walkway, in flower bed. Going to have a big work day next Saturday June 13 (CLAYTON DAY) from 9-11 or sooner, depends on participation. But have 8 more yards of mulch to move and a couple of tons of river rock. All hands would be appreciated. Feel free to bring more flowers to plant. We have lots of room. See everyone then!

Welcome to all of our newbies, finding this page. Going to be a beautiful hot day tomorrow. We have a new friend Lindsay, coming in from Williamstown to bring us more plants. I’ll be bringing some plants over too. Stop over and say hi. Maybe pull a few w**ds and lay some mulch. I’ll have the side gate to the garden open at 1. Come put some plants in the ground and take a few home.

Thank you Steve Mathis, for getting all of these tomato and pepper plants started. We spent a couple of hours getting everything planted in boxes and ready for the Summer. Also, planted a few more flowers and laid some more mulch down in the flower beds. Still need help w**ding daily and putting the rest of the mulch into flower beds. Feel free to make that happen on your own time. There’s a picture of what’s done and all of the equipment is there for you to spread mulch. Also, all of the flowers inside the gate can be put into the ground on the walking path by the fruit trees. There’s some lettuce down there ready to be picked too. So stop by the garden this weekend and help get it ready for the Season.

Everything is coming together for the garden. See the beans are planted. Just planted some of these amazing sunflowers around the fenced section in flower bed, they all popped from seed last week in the CHS greenhouse. The rest of these plants will be ready to go soon. The beefsteak tomatoes took off in the greenhouse too. If you’re looking to be a part of it. You can see where the mulch needs to be spread in the flower beds. Feel free to do that at any time. This was the lettuce we gave away at our Earth Day events. Getting plenty of that now.
