One year ago today, I stood at a ribbon cutting and hoped this crazy idea might work.

Since then, we’ve cared for a lot of patients, solved a lot of problems, celebrated some victories, and weathered a few storms.

Thank you for trusting a small independent practice that believes healthcare should be personal, accessible, and built on relationships.

One year down. Let’s see what year two brings. 💛

Last week, we officially opened the doors to Ever Better Primary Care—a clinic built on grit, heart, and the belief that healthcare should feel like you’re actually being seen.

This photo captures more than a ceremony. It’s the culmination of years of hard work, a calling I couldn’t ignore, and a community that showed up with open arms.

To every patient who trusted me, every friend who cheered me on, and every partner who believed in this mission—thank you.

This is shaping up to be the busiest week Ever Better Primary Care has ever had, with more new patients than I’ve ever scheduled in a single week.

What means the most to me is that nearly all of those new patients were referred by family, friends, coworkers, and existing patients.

When I opened this clinic, I hoped to build a place where people felt heard, respected, and cared for. The fact that so many of you trust me enough to recommend me to the people you love means more than I can adequately put into words.

Thank you for trusting me with your healthcare. Thank you for sharing my name with others. Thank you for helping this little clinic grow.

✨✨Quick heads-up—because this has been catching people off guard:

Some insurance plans are now labeling Nurse Practitioners as “specialists,” which can mean a higher copay for what is still routine primary care.

To be clear: nothing about your visit here has changed. The only thing that changed is how your insurance company is choosing to classify it.

We don’t set those rules, and we don’t see that information until your visit is processed—so when there’s a surprise copay, we’re finding out right alongside you.

If you want to avoid surprises:
• Call the number on your insurance card and ask how visits with a Nurse Practitioner are billed
• Check whether your plan lists NPs as primary care or specialists
• Push back if it doesn’t make sense—because it often doesn’t

We know it’s frustrating. It is for us too. Our goal is still the same: accessible, straightforward primary care without the runaround.

If you have questions before your visit, ask us—we’ll help you sort through it as best we can.
