I’ve watched too many adults depend on someone else to do basic stuff.
A parent. A spouse. So often, it’s their mom.
I want my boys to know how to take care of themselves. Do their own laundry, cook their own meals, fill out their own paperwork.
And I want them to understand that those things aren’t someone’s “role.”
I’m home with the boys most days, so yes, I usually do the laundry. But that doesn’t mean Josh never does it.
