Yesterday, Grand Hospice was proudly represented at The LinkD Network – South Dallas Chapter, where our own Mariela was invited to serve as the August featured speaker.

Her topic, “How to Tap Into Your Unique Superpower,” centered on authenticity, leadership, and the importance of investing in people, not simply building businesses.

One message from her presentation captures it perfectly:

“I build people, so they can go out and build a business.

People are not drawn to perfection.
They are drawn to authenticity.

The leaders who truly change lives are not the ones pretending to have it all together. They are the ones brave enough to fully show up as themselves.”

— Mariela Heffel

That message aligns with what we believe at Grand Hospice: people come first. When we invest in people, encourage their strengths, and give them room to lead authentically, stronger teams and stronger communities follow.

We’re proud of Mariela for representing Grand Hospice and grateful to The LinkD Network – South Dallas Chapter for the opportunity to share, connect, and build relationships within our community. 💙

This Texas heat doesn’t play around. 🥵

And when your days are spent driving across DFW and caring for others, it’s easy to forget to take care of yourself.

So this week, we treated the Grand team to Starbucks, with one catch:
whatever you order,
grab a Venti water too. 💧

A little caffeine, a LOT of hydration, and a reminder for all of us:

Take care of yourself so you can keep showing up for the people who need you. 💙

Hospice Questions You May Be Nervous to Ask:
Part 2 💙

A common fear we hear is: “If I choose hospice, does that mean I can’t go back to the hospital?”

The short answer is no.

Hospice doesn’t take away your choices. Instead, it gives you an experienced, compassionate team available 24/7 to call when something changes.
Oftentimes, we can manage symptoms and provide the care you need right where you are, without the stress of an unnecessary ER visit.

When you’re unsure what to do, call your Grand Hospice care team first. We’ll help you understand what’s happening, what your options are, and what comes next.

Hospice isn’t about having fewer choices. It’s about having more support when making them. 💙

✨ Meet Krista, the one who keeps Grand running behind the scenes.

Every great care team needs someone making sure the details are handled, the team is supported, and the million little things that happen each day don’t fall through the cracks.

For Grand Hospice, that person is Krista Bilow, our Office Manager. 💙

Krista brings organization, dependability, and a whole lot of heart to our office. Whether she’s helping a team member, solving a problem, or keeping our day-to-day operations moving, she plays an important part in making sure our team can stay focused on what matters most: caring for our patients and their families.

We’re so thankful Krista is part of the Grand family. ✨

When a serious illness progresses, families are often left wondering:
Is it time for hospice?

At Grand Hospice, we’re here to bring clarity, compassion, and support to that moment. 🤍

Below are eight of the most common diagnoses that may lead to hospice eligibility.

It’s important to know that eligibility isn’t based on diagnosis alone. Comfort, daily function, and quality of life all matter, too.

We walk beside families every step of the way, helping you understand your options and choose the care that best aligns with your goals.

If you’re unsure whether it may be time, we’re here to help.
Gently. Clearly. Without pressure.

💙 Hospice Questions You May Be Nervous To Ask 💙

Hospice can feel overwhelming, and sometimes the questions families most need answered are the ones they’re hesitant to ask.

We’re starting with one of the most common: “How do I know when it’s time to consider hospice?”

Asking about hospice doesn’t mean making a commitment. It means learning what support is available so you can make an informed decision for yourself or someone you love.

At Grand Hospice, questions are always welcome, even if you’re not sure hospice is the next right step.

Fear shouldn’t make healthcare decisions. 💙

There are a lot of misconceptions about hospice, and unfortunately, fear and misinformation can keep families from getting the support they need.

Hospice is about honoring:
your goals,
your values,
and your choices.

The decision to elect hospice should never be based on fear, pressure, or incomplete information. It should be made with a clear understanding of what hospice is, what it isn’t, and how it can support you and your family.

You deserve honest answers, clear information, and the opportunity to make the decision that feels right for your situation.

At Grand Hospice, we believe every family deserves the time and education needed to make an informed decision.
If you have questions about hospice, we’re always happy to answer them, without pressure, just honest conversation.
