This fundraiser for Xavier Taylor is so close to reaching its goal! I’ve already donated because the cause really matters to me. Xavier, a 12-year-old from Maple Shade, was involved in a freak accident on the baseball field, and his family needs our support during this tough time. All profits from Xavier Strong shirts sold through Dirt State Baseball will go directly to his family, along with any donations here. As someone with over 18 years in the medical field and nearly two decades of CPR experience, my mission has always been simple: empower people with the knowledge and confidence to step in when seconds matter most.

Some of you may know that I spent most of my Jr. high & high school years in Maple Shade. I played on those same fields. This community shaped me in ways I still carry with me today, and even though I no longer live there, it never really leaves you.

When I heard about Xavier, it hit close to home in more ways than one. Not just because of my history there, but because I'm a mom. My kids have played sports. They still do. Every practice, every game, every moment on that field matters. That's why when one of our own needs us, we show up.

Situations like Xavier's are also a reminder of just how important it is that we all know CPR. You never know when the person next to you needs you to be ready.

I don't know Xavier's family personally, but that doesn't matter. This is what community is for.
