We’re excited to begin offering two FREE NAMI programs designed to educate, empower, and support individuals and families in our community.

📣 NAMI Smarts for Advocacy: Telling Your Story
NAMI Smarts for Advocacy is a skill-building training that helps people affected by mental health conditions turn their passion and lived experience into skillful grassroots advocacy.

Through Telling Your Story, participants will learn how to turn their personal experience and passion into a powerful story that can change attitudes and influence policymakers. Your story matters. Your voice matters. 💙

💚 NAMI Family & Friends
This free educational program is for family members, partners, and friends of adults living with mental health conditions.

You will learn:
• Understanding diagnoses, treatment and recovery
• Effective communication strategies
• The importance of self-care
• Crisis preparation strategies
• NAMI and community resources

Both programs will be FREE to our community, and we’ll be sharing September dates, locations, and registration information very soon!

We’re excited to continue expanding access to mental health education, support, and advocacy right here in Lake County. 💙💚
