Congratulations to the nurses of MetroHealth Behavioral Health Hospital on ratifying their first union contract.
This agreement includes workplace safety protections, improvements in scheduling and leave policies, and investments in nurse retention. These are important victories not only for healthcare workers, but also for the patients and communities they serve.
Across Northeast Ohio, healthcare workers are increasingly speaking up for safe staffing, sustainable working conditions, and a meaningful voice in decisions that affect patient care. We are encouraged to see caregivers coming together around these shared goals.
Congratulations to the MetroHealth Behavioral Health Nurses Union and everyone who helped make this achievement possible.
