CALM Update No. 2 | Starting to Take Shape

Another week and a whole lot more gone.

This week we got the private offices and lounge areas ripped out, tore into more of the kitchen, picked out colors for the roof and spent some time going over the design and all the little details that are going to bring this thing together.

Right now she might look like a mess, but every piece coming out is making room for what CALM is going to become.

I already can’t wait to see what gets done this week.

Alright... I guess it’s time I start telling you guys a little more about what I’ve been thinking.

What if part of Happy Hippy Haus wasn’t just Happy Hippy Haus anymore?

There are a lot of people out there with really good products and ideas who aren’t ready to take on an entire storefront. But maybe they don’t need one.

What if you came into the Haus and found all kinds of unique local products and small businesses under one roof? Baked goods, handmade pieces, really cool finds and things you probably weren’t expecting to see when you walked in.

I’m not talking about filling the place with the same stuff you see at every pop-up market. I want to find some really cool people and products that you’d actually be excited to come to the Haus and shop for.

That’s a little more of where my head is going with all of this.

It’s funny how life has a way of bringing things full circle.

When I first opened the Haus, I was donating bread, selling different things almost like a resale shop, and finding ways to help people in the community. I didn’t have some big plan for what it would eventually become. I just knew I wanted it to be a place where people felt welcome.

Since then, a lot of people have walked through these doors. We’ve shared conversations, ideas, laughs, friendships, animals and a whole lot of life in between. As I’ve been thinking about what comes next for the Haus, I’ve realized some of the best ideas aren’t always brand new ones.

Maybe moving forward is really about getting back to your roots.

Happy Hippy Haus has been through a lot of chapters over the years, and lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what the next one could look like.

I’m not ready to give everything away just yet, but I can tell you this: the heart of the Haus isn’t going anywhere.

Community, supporting local, bringing good people together and creating opportunities for others will be a big part of what comes next.

We’re still figuring out some of the details, and I want you guys to be part of the journey.

So stick around. Something new is growing at the Haus, and I’m excited to see where we take it together! 💚

CALM Update No. 1 | And So It Begins

Well, there’s no turning back now!

CALM is officially at the shop, and the front half has already been ripped out. The renovation and build are underway, and little by little, this old bus is about to become something completely different.

This is only Week 1, and I can’t wait to see what she looks like next.

CALM has officially left the Haus!

Last Wednesday, I handed over the keys and watched the bus drive away to begin the next phase of its transformation.

It’s a little wild watching an idea I’ve had in my head actually start becoming real. There’s a lot of work ahead, but this is where it all begins.

I’ll be sharing the entire transformation from start to finish, so follow along. I have a feeling this is going to be one heck of a ride! 😆

I’ve been talking about this for a while, and I’m excited to finally invite you to follow along on this new journey with me.

Went to Mattress Mack on Tuesday to shop around for seats for my bus, and who do I see? Mattress Mack himself, live in the flesh!

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t expect him to actually be there, let alone help with the buying process.
