AABIP The AABIP is the leader in helping patients breathe easier and live longer through minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Since it’s founding in 1992, the AABIP has been a unifying source for information regarding the fields of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology. Over the last few years, we have achieved significant milestones, including having the Journal of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology become indexed on Index Medicus, having IP Fellowship programs become part of the National Residency Match Pr

ogram, running twice-yearly scientific symposia and developing and implementing the first Board Certification Exam in Interventional Pulmonology.

We came together to learn, to challenge each other, to celebrate the wins — and most of all, to remind ourselves why we do this work in the first place. And this week, our community showed up in full force.

What a Day 2, Denver. 💙

We kicked things off with a Fun Run, packed the day with sessions on everything from IP fellowship strategy to advanced pleural ultrasonography, hosted a live podcast, celebrated award winners, and came together for tumor boards, technical reviews, and a Presidential Reception to close it all out.

But if there's one thing today reminded us of, it's this: IP isn't just a specialty. It's a tribe.

It's the mentors who trained you. The colleagues who challenge you. The friends you catch up with once a year and pick right back up with, like no time passed at all. Today, we saw that tribe in action — in packed sessions, in hallway conversations, in the reunions and the new introductions alike.

This is what community feels like. One day left, and we're making it count.

See you tomorrow, Denver. 🙌
