🦵 Pain After Knee Replacement: What's Normal and What's Not

You had knee replacement surgery. The first few weeks aren't exactly comfortable. But how do you know what's just part of the process — and what's a sign something's wrong?

3 things that make the biggest difference:
1️⃣ Do your physical therapy — every session, every exercise. This is non-negotiable.
2️⃣ Ice and elevate — 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, especially in the first 6 weeks.
3️⃣ Walk every day — even when you don't feel like it. Movement is medicine.

The goal isn't a pain-free knee on day one. The goal is a knee that lets you get back to your life. Most patients tell us it was the best decision they ever made — they just wish someone had told them weeks 1-2 would be tough.

We're here for every step of your recovery.

Visiting an Orthopedic Clinic for the First Time? Here's What to Expect 🦴 5 Key Experiences at Movement Orthopedics. No need to worry about unknowns; our goal is to guide you through every step. 1. Comprehensive Examination Our approach begins with a thorough discussion about your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle impacts. A meticulous physical examination will follow, assessing mobility, strength, and precise areas of discomfort. 2. Diagnostic Imaging (If Required) Utilizing on-site X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans enables us to provide timely insights into your condition, eliminating unnecessary delays. 3. Clear Diagnosis Explanation Our medical professionals will communicate your diagnosis in straightforward terms, addressing any questions or concerns you may have. 4. Customized Treatment Strategy Most orthopedic issues can be resolved without surgery. Potential treatment options may include medication, physical therapy, bracing or splinting, and injections.
