At Woodland Post Acute, we are proud to celebrate the incredible progress and determination of our patients. Today, we are excited to share the inspiring success story of Mr. Mayes!
Mr. Mayes arrived at Woodland Post Acute after experiencing a fall at home that resulted in a fractured pelvis. He was in significant pain and had very limited mobility, making even the simplest daily activities difficult. Sit-to-stand transfers were challenging, and tasks such as getting dressed required considerable effort and assistance.
Through dedicated PT and OT and Mr. Mayes’s determination to get back on his feet, he made remarkable progress throughout his stay. Day by day, he worked toward regaining his strength, improving his mobility, and rebuilding his independence.
Today, Mr. Mayes is heading home stronger, more confident, and back to doing the things he loves! He can now walk 500 feet with a rollator and independently complete all of his activities of daily living, including dressing and other essential self-care tasks.
We are incredibly proud of Mr. Mayes and all he has accomplished during his time with us. Congratulations, Mr. Mayes, on this amazing milestone! Everyone at Woodland Post Acute wishes you continued success, happiness, and many wonderful days ahead in the comfort of your own home.
