First legacy piece in the books. Chris, we have tattooed each other’s flash more times than I can keep count of. But this one? This was a tear jerker. I hope the angels know what they have. 🖕

Last but certainly not least, we have Kurt Brown (). Kurt is the proud owner of The Gallery Tattoo Studio, but he is proudest to be Chris Welch’s mentor.

Alongside Chris’s friends and family, Kurt helped shape him into the man we’re all here to honor. Kurt opened the doors to The Gallery in the Summer of 2012, and by that same December Chris had won him over with his hard work, dedication, and love of 80s movies. Chris quickly became a staple in Kurt’s life both in the studio and at home, with Kurt’s own son claiming him as “Uncle Chriiyysss”. After passing on the craft of tattooing, Kurt passes on 14 years of love and cherished memories of his first apprentice.

Kurt specializes in colorful illustrative work, bringing life to his intricate scenes. He brings technical mastery to every tattoo, large and small.

Kurt gave a home and a place to someone who never quite felt like he fit in. Who knew how well he’d find his place. And now, because you took the chance on a young “troublemaker” who excelled at art? We’re all here to remember that man, and carry on his legacy as best we can.
