A New Day for Misty.
This sweet little girl has done well today at Blue Pearl Specialty Clinic. Allie, one of the great RVT’s at BPearl got her to eat a little bit last night and today, she has continued to eat a very soft and sloppy mixture. Finding that balance between pain control, antibiotics and food intake is always a balancing act for veterinary professionals. Heavy duty pain control medications like Fentanyl can diminish their appetites, yet so can being overly painful. Misty is very sweet and somewhat timid according to the staff. She has recently had puppies and she is very thin. The one we know without question is that her life is better today, than it was on Wed. July 10th when she came into CC’s medical system and Cedar Valley Pit Bull Rescue. Misty will soon be released but this will be a lengthy recovery and she remains at risk for complications due to the severity of the fractures. We will be with her every step of the way. Thank you all so much for your generous donations and well wishes through our facebook posts. You, our Facebook family, saw this dog’s plight and you responded. We are very grateful❤️. More to come on Misty’s new life. Jodi, a student at Blue Pearl is pictured here with Misty.❤️🐾
