After being gone for a week and a half, the laundry has officially taken over! Between unpacking, catching up on housework, and trying to get back into our normal routine, there’s plenty to keep me busy. If only they would put themselves away! 🤣

🌱 Growing Our Roots - Every Dream Starts Somewhere!

We recently bought a piece of property, and the work has begun.

Our first big project is a 40 × 50 pole barn! Downstairs will be home to our lake toys and all those things that seem to accumulate over the years. 😂 Eventually, we hope to turn the upstairs into a cozy space for family and friends to stay when they visit.

And that’s just the beginning!

We’re dreaming of a beautiful garden, a greenhouse, a place to gather and celebrate with family and friends, and eventually a little Well Sage Collective mercantile where I can share my handmade creations and natural products.

Yesterday, we walked the property to see the progress they’ve made clearing the land. It’s peaceful being out there, listening to the birds and imagining what this place will become.

We know there’s a lot of work ahead, and I’m sure we’ll learn plenty along the way, but that’s part of the adventure!

I thought it would be fun to bring you along as we turn this little piece of land into something special.

🍋 5 Surprising Ways to Use Lemon Essential Oil Around Your Home!

Lemon essential oil isn’t just for making your home smell amazing! Here are five simple ways you might not have thought of using it.

🍋 1. Remove Sticky Sticker Residue

Price tags, labels, and stickers can leave behind a stubborn mess! Add a drop of lemon essential oil to a cloth and gently rub the adhesive. Its natural limonene content can help loosen the sticky residue.

🍋 2. Freshen Your Trash Can

Place 1–2 drops on a cotton ball and tuck it into a secure, ventilated holder near your trash can, out of reach of children and pets. It’s a simple way to add a fresh citrus scent!

🍋 3. Help Remove Greasy Residue

Lemon essential oil contains limonene, which can help dissolve some oily buildup. Try a small amount on a cloth to spot-clean a compatible, nonporous surface, then wash thoroughly with soap and water. I use it all the time on my stove top.

🍋 4. Freshen Closets and Small Spaces

Add 4 to 5 drops to an aroma stone and place it on a protected surface in a well-ventilated area. It’s a lovely way to enjoy a light citrus fragrance without plugging anything in!

🍋 5. Refresh Your Home With a Citrus Blend

Try combining:

🌿 2 drops Lemon

🌿 2 drops Lavender

🌿 1 drop Sweet Orange

Add to your diffuser according to its instructions for a fresh, cheerful aroma!

❗️A Little Reminder: Always test lemon essential oil on a hidden area before cleaning. It can damage plastics, paint, and certain finishes. Also, I’d recommend wearing gloves if you wear nail polish, gels or acrylics. Essential oils should be kept away from children and pets.

Botanical Name: I love the fresh scent of lemon! It’s one of my favorite essential oils to use around our home for cleaning.

Did you know lemon essential oil has more to offer than just a wonderful scent?

🍋 Mood: Its bright citrus aroma may help create an uplifting atmosphere and promote a sense of well being.

🍋 Focus: The refreshing scent may help you feel more alert and energized throughout the day.

🍋 Natural Freshening: Lemon essential oil is a great way to bring a fresh citrus scent into your home.

🍋 Cleaning: Lemon essential oil contains limonene, a naturally occurring compound that can help dissolve grease.

🍋 Sticky Residue: Have you ever struggled to remove the sticky mess left behind by a price tag or label? Lemon essential oil may help loosen that stubborn adhesive!
