The FRC" Patriotic Day at the Park" is a wrap!
Let's identify just a few of the developmental skills worked on by playing in the park this morning......
1. Climbing on the play structure: helps strengthen muscles, improve coordination, foster spatial awareness and balance. (Gross Motor)
2. Drawing with sidewalk chalk: helps builds the foundation for handwriting by developing pencil grip, hand and finger strength, and hand-eye coordination. (Fine Motor)
3. Popping bubbles: teaches the brain to process what the eyes see and use that information to guide precise, physical hand movements. (Visual-Motor Integration)

Are you an individual with autism seeking to build employment skills, network, and find a career? UCLA PEERS Clinic is offering a 16-week employment-focused social skills program, PEERS for Careers Employment Skills Program to help autistic adults obtain and maintain meaningful employment.

Requirements:
- California resident
- Between the ages of 18 to 21
- Identify as autistic
- Be enrolled in college or an educational program
- Be eligible for California Department of Rehabilitation Student Services
