ℹ️ "NEW TO CLOVIS UNIFIED" NIGHT
Whether you're enrolling your first student into school, or just moved to the area, new families to Clovis Unified are invited to join us for a "New to CUSD Parent Night!" On Aug. 6 from 5:30-7 p.m., come to the Clovis High gym to meet with members of several CUSD departments and learn more about resources available to you, and your role in your child's education. This is a free-to-attend event, and the whole family is welcome to join! Register here: cusd.com/parent-academy.

Throughout the year, our Supplemental Services department hosts various Parent Nights to educate parents on timely topics, such as technology use and the importance of literacy at home. Keep an eye out on our social media for more event annoucements, or see the schedule at cusd.com/parent-academy.

Join us online Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 6:30 PM for Regional Center 101, a free webinar hosted by the Clovis Unified Family Resource Center. We will break down the Regional Center system, discuss Lanterman Services, and explain qualifying eligibility.

Spending time on the water is fun, but just like in the car, there are important safety rules everyone must follow. Let’s talk about one of the big ones: always wearing a life jacket.

Life jackets are a lot like seatbelts, they only work when they’re worn correctly. Here are a few steps to ensuring that your child’s life jacket is a safe fit:

🛟 Check for a Coast Guard-approved label, typically found on the lining of the life jacket.
🛟 Make sure the life jacket has a crotch strap, and fits snugly.
🛟 Get your child used to the life jacket ahead of time, before you’re near the water.
🛟 Keep your child close by and supervised at all times, even when they’re wearing their life jacket.
