A lot of people assume my name is Jadeโฆso I thought it was time to share where the name JADE Mental Health & Wellness actually came from. ๐
JADE represents four of the most important people in my life, my four sons.
My boys will tell you that whenever I ask, โHow are you?โ they usually start by telling me everything theyโre doing, what happened at school, work, practice, what theyโre working on, where theyโre going, whatโs nextโฆ
And I always follow it with: โOkayโฆbut how are YOU?โ
Because thereโs a difference.
We spend so much time talking about what weโre doing, what we need to accomplish, and what everyone else needs from us that sometimes we forget to stop and ask ourselves how weโre actually doing.
That simple question is a big part of what I want JADE to represent.
A place where the focus isnโt only on symptoms, diagnoses, or medications, but on the person sitting in front of me.
So no, my name isnโt Jade ๐ Iโm Kelsey.
JADE is Jack, Aidan, Daniel & Ethan.
And they are the heart behind the name. ๐
