A meaningful life leaves biological footprints.

Love lowers stress.
Purpose strengthens resilience.
Connection supports longevity.
Joy changes your physiology.

The moments that make life feel worth living—deep connection, genuine laughter, meaningful work, being known, being loved—don’t just shape how we experience life.

They shape us from the inside out.

What makes life worth living also helps keep us alive. 🤍

Wildfire season is here again, and while we can’t control the smoke, we can support our bodies through it. 🤍

Here are a few of the things I’m personally doing as a naturopathic doctor during wildfire season:

🌿 Move my body every day and sweat. Whether it’s exercise or spending time in the sauna, I love anything that gets me sweating. If I use the sauna, I always finish with a 1-minute cold rinse.

🌿 Take NAC. NAC is a precursor to glutathione, one of the body’s most powerful antioxidants, and helps support the liver’s natural detoxification processes.*

🌿 Keep a HEPA air filter running. Ours stays on around the clock to help keep the air inside our home as clean as possible.

🌿 Eat nourishing foods. I focus on plenty of whole, fiber-rich foods and limit alcohol during wildfire season to help reduce the burden on my body.

🌿 Stay hydrated. I aim to drink about half my body weight (in ounces) of water each day.

🌿 Give myself grace. This one might be the most important. Do your best and forget the rest. We live in a world that isn’t always predictable, and there are some things we simply can’t control. Instead of letting wildfire season steal your peace, focus on the small, meaningful things you can do to care for yourself. Those little choices really do add up. ❤️

If you’re feeling run down, have questions about protecting your health during wildfire season, or just want more personalized support, I’d love to help.

I’m currently accepting new patients at the clinic. Give us a call to schedule an appointment- we’re here for you.

Taking care of your health is one of the kindest investments you can make for yourself and the people you love.

Small consistent choices add up over time. You don’t have to be perfect - just willing to take the next step.

We’re here to support you on your journey to feeling your best. 🌿

“What makes a naturopathic doctor different?”
It’s one of the questions we hear most often.

While our education includes extensive medical and clinical training, what many patients notice first is something else: time, partnership, and a deeper exploration of their health concerns.

At CDA Healing Arts, we believe that understanding the whole person—their history, lifestyle, environment, and goals—helps us provide more personalized and effective care.

Health is rarely about a single symptom. It’s about understanding the bigger picture.

Have questions about naturopathic medicine? We’d love to hear them below.

Health has a way of quietly supporting every part of our lives - until it’s no longer there.

The good news is that you don’t have to wait for a health crisis to start investing in your well-being.

Your future self will thank you for making your health a priority now. 💚

If you’ve been meaning to take that first step, we’re here when you’re ready.

One of the most common questions we hear is:

“Are naturopathic doctors actually doctors?”

The answer is yes.

Licensed naturopathic physicians complete a four-year doctoral-level medical education that includes biomedical sciences, clinical diagnosis, physical examination, laboratory interpretation, and extensive supervised clinical training.

But credentials are only part of the story.

At CDA Healing Arts, we believe great medicine begins with understanding the whole person. That means taking the time to listen, asking thoughtful questions, identifying underlying contributors to illness, and creating individualized treatment plans that support long-term health.

Our approach combines modern medical knowledge with evidence-informed natural therapies, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and preventive care- all with the goal of helping patients achieve lasting wellness.
