The photos I almost didnât post!đ¤
As lash artists, we are so quick to zoom in on every tiny imperfection of our own work! The one lash thatâs a little out of line, the one fan that couldâve been just a touch more open. We see the things no one else would ever notice, and sometimes that keeps us from sharing our art at all.
Iâm probably one of the worst about it. I have so many beautiful sets sitting in my camera roll that never see the light of day because I tell myself theyâre not âperfect.â But hereâs the truth â perfection isnât what builds great artists. Growth does.
When I took these photos, I didnât realize there were a couple lashes that werenât perfectly uniform. I couldâve stopped, adjusted them, and retaken the pictures â but my client was happy, confident, and glowing. I looked back later and thought, âOkay, thatâs something Iâll do differently next time.â Thatâs how we get better.
Every set teaches us something new. Every photo we take, even the ones we pick apart, is part of our growth story. The goal isnât to be flawless â itâs to keep learning, keep showing up, and keep creating with love and intention.
So if youâve been too hard on yourself lately, please remember this: your work is beautiful. The fact that you care enough to notice small details already sets you apart. Post your art. Celebrate your progress. Keep going, even when itâs not perfect â because thatâs how you become truly great đ¤â¨
