Peace In The Valley

Peace In The Valley Soul Sprinkles blog and Life Coaching About Reflexology: Reflexology is a form of bodywork that focuses primarily on the feet and hands.

Peace In The Valley provides relaxation, stress relief and balancing of body, mind and spirit through Reflexology, Reiki, I also team up with various Relaxation and Beauty Specialist to bring you the option of choosing from a wide menu of pampering services for you and a group of friends to plan a fun Spa Party, for enjoyment and a valuable reprieve from your busy and often times stressful lives.

There are "reflex" areas on the feet and hands that correspond to specific organs, glands and other parts of the body. In other words, the feet and hands are a blueprint of every system within our physical body. Reflexology is effective for relieving stress, inducing relaxation and bringing bodily systems into balance. It is a natural, safe and effective method that serves to help bring about desired results, a person may be seeking, for improved health. It is done in a relaxing setting, with the exception of socks and shoes, the recipient is fully clothed. Reflexologists use their thumbs and fingers to apply appropriate amount of pressure on all reflex areas, giving more focus to areas that indicate an imbalance. It is not a replacement for medical treatment, however, it has proven to greatly assist whatever medical therapies a person may be undergoing. If you are interested in more information, here is one website that can provide more history and describe how it works. "The Ingham Method" is introduced through this website and is the method utilized by me and many other Reflexologists. http://reflexology-usa.net/history.htm

Hot Stone Reflexology: Same as description above, except reflex points are worked using heated basalt rocks. This method increases relaxation with warmth and can penetrate deeper to help increase positive results.

In the midst of spinning my wheels on a new Substack piece, my niece Rachel Harris sent me a timely text. Without truly knowing why she wanted to share this particular story with me specifically, she only knew it was important to do it NOW.

What she didn't know was that her conversation with Dolly about "The Sidewalk"was the next piece of the puzzle I had been putting together all day within my internal world—a guide to navigating the "Silt Districts" of Rug City.

Yesterday, we brought our worlds together. I sent her my "Seuss-meets-Serling" draft, and she hand-picked the perfect, profound photos to bring the "Math of the Storm" to life.

It’s a story of synchronicity, survival, the free flow children's perspective, and finding solid ground.

A hand-painted cradle, a family of "8s," and a black UFO dream. 🎨🛸

My latest writing, "The Frequency of a Family of 8s," is officially live. It’s a story about the timing of a child who was nearly a month late, and the man he became to help me fix a foundation that couldn't stay broken forever.

If you’ve ever had to pick up the shattered pieces of a dream and rebuild, this chapter is for you.

There was a time when I needed a literal "entourage" just to walk into a guitar lesson. My body was signaling a 5-alarm emergency, and I was working to survive the "shaky tremors."

Fast forward to a lake, a striped Tweety Bird bathing suit, and a peace so thick it felt like bubbles in slow motion.

I’m writing about the years I spent at the Vineyard—the "mixed bag" of spiritual power, bad dates, and finding my way to the water once again. 💦✨️💙🧚‍♀️

In 1993, I was a Size 5 powerhouse—a single mom, a college student, and a high-voltage engine of motion. But behind the glass doors of the gym, I was navigating a storm that felt Size Gigantic.

I’m sharing a new chapter of my manuscript today, and it’s a raw one. It touches on the "muck"—the alcoholism, the reactive violence, and the "clocking" of a husband I loved deeply.

It’s hard to share those shadows, but I’ve realized you can’t talk about the Light without being honest about the fire that forged you.

This is the story of how I began to choose the Park instead of the Punch. It’s about how I started to re-condition my spirit and realize that my "freaky" gifts were actually the credentials I would one day use in my therapist's chair.
If you’ve ever felt like your spirit was too big for the life you were living, this one is for you.

The Tether and the Chair

I have a Master’s degree in Social Work, soon to upgrade to Licensed Clinical Social Worker "LCSW." I have the clinical training, the Reiki attunements, and a wall of credentials. But if I’m being honest with you today, there is still a shadow that sits in the room with me, quite often.

Every time I sit down in my therapist’s chair, a small, quiet voice from my past whispers: “They’re going to find you out. They’re going to realize you’re just the girl from the messy house, and you have no idea what you’re doing.”
For a long time, I thought "re-conditioning" meant that voice would eventually disappear. I’m learning that the "Wow" moment isn't about being perfect—it’s about being a conduit.

I think back to the "Freaky" times of my junior high and high school years.
I remember waking up with the copper taste of fear and a terrifying sensation of choking. In my mind’s eye, I saw jail bars dripping with blood. I felt a physical constriction in my own windpipe. I knew, with a certainty that bypassed my young brain, that this was about my brother Roger.

I wasn’t the "hero" of that story. I didn't burst through a door and save him. I was miles away in my own bed. It was my other brother, Marshall, who found him on a bathroom floor, choking on his own blood after a dangerous mix of pain pills and partying. Marshall was the hands that saved him.

But I was the witness.

I was holding the spiritual tether. My "Gigantic Spirit" was picking up a signal of distress that no one else could hear yet.

I realize now that this is my true credential.

I felt like an imposter sitting in my supervisor’s chair for the first time because I thought a "Professional" was supposed to have all the answers. But a Healer is something else. A healer is someone who has the courage to feel the "choking" and the "muck" of another person’s story and stay in the room with them.

I don’t sit in the chair because I’ve reached the finish line of healing. I sit there because I know how to hold the tether while someone else finds their breath.
The re-conditioning isn’t about the absence of fear; it’s about sitting in the chair anyway.

*I'm enjoying the magical walk on the shores of my memories. As I walk, I recognize each grain of sand is a portal to far reaching messages from my soul. It is beyond overwhelming to think I have to sift through each grain before gaining enough understanding to convey my story and purpose to you. For this reason, I am following the trail of the most sparkly grains to light my path.

Each sparkle is a link in a Soul Sprinkled chain—a chain that connects my past as a dreamer to my present as a healer.

If you’ve ever felt like an imposter in your own life, or if you’re looking for the light in your own "muck," I invite you to walk this shore with me. When you subscribe, you’re joining me in sifting for the sparkles.

May you find the light in your own muck today, and keep walking—even if the shoes are chewed.

Sometimes while reading posts or listening to someone talk, my body will tense up as if to protect myself from some unwanted virus... other times I feel a cozy rush of tingles, causing goosebumps and an actual rise in temperature, I feel warmth in my heart... I suppose there are many ways to describe the importance of paying attention to these signals, for me it is the difference between love and fear. There are times when a second look is required and fear is simply saying "proceed with caution!" I'm thankful that fear tells me when to shield myself and love signals when to open fully. I bring this up in order to point out there are things we have been conditioned to believe and respond to in an expected way, despite signals our body, mind and spirit may be sending. Stay connected, pay attention, we do know the difference... Hmmm, I wonder if in the long run we may find out that love and fear work quite well together. Once we discern the voice of fear, we can then turn to love in each moment and ask, "how do I proceed from here?" Anyway, just a tiny lil thought to ponder and possibly expand upon... Go with your most preferred flow ✨🌹❤️
