The Museum has over 170 years of Tattoo History with over 800 artifacts on display, and Expert Professional Tattooing at its Finest by 4 Tattooists, members of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists and National Tattoo Association. The NTM tattoo historian and curator (Jay Brown) is an Alliance of Professional Tattooists (APT) Certificate of Tattoo Mastery holder and Lifetime Member with 39 years in the Craft. The NTM's exhibits are an insured collection, largely representative electric tattooing of the last century and a half of mainstream tattoo subculture in North America. The collection showcases tattoo machines, historical photographs, documents, business cards, flash, stencils, tattoo implements, tattoo related artifacts, an expanding library, an archive of historic items, etc. The museum has been diversifying and incorporating tattoo history from North America and worldwide.
