Dear Project SEARCH Supporters!
Hi, I am Brandon and I am interning in the Grounds Department. I like working with the Grounds team. I like taking out the trash in the garage, blowing out the sprinklers and raking leaves. This week we went to the Community Resource Fair. I liked hanging out with my friends and checking out the tables. I learned about Specialized Needs Recreation and the activities they have. I also liked learning about the Goodwill Employment Services booth and what they have to offer. Have a great weekend.

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,
Hi my name is Haven. I was team lead this week. I have two internships. One is the Hospitalist Office. I clean and dust the Doctors desks, gym, kitchen area, and physicians lounge. I like helping to keep germs away. I also stock supplies throughout. After lunch I go to H.I.M. (Health Information Management). In H.I.M. I sort the files from minors to adults and put them in a bin to be shredded. I am learning lots of new skills. Hope you have a good weekend.
Sincerely,
Haven

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,
Hello my name is Arik, I work in Central Supply, The job I do there is take out the cardboard, open up boxes getting ready for delivery and stickered some things for patient billing. I got to make a delivery this week. I'm learning a lot of things this week very well. I was also team lead this week. I did good on that and made eye contact with everyone. We are about to go into the weekend and soon into the 2nd week of our internship. We are excited for the 2nd week of the 1st internship of the year in Project SEARCH. This week I celebrated my 19th birthday! I'm happy about it! Have a great weekend.

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,
Hi my name is Ally and I'm also a Project SEARCH intern. I was team lead this week. That means I greet the class, get the group going, lead our grounding minute and go over team goals. We had an outing on Monday. We took CitiLink and went to the Mudgy and millie lake trail, the CDA Floating Dock and then had lunch at Zips after. We also had Healthy relationships on Wednesday and learned about public and private places. It was pretty interesting. I also learned I got my Internship in Wound Care. Which is very cool because I wanted to work there. The Project SEARCH interns do not have program tomorrow because it is a teacher workday. Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Ally

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,
Hi my name is Nasir and I'm a Project SEARCH intern. I job shadowed in PETS (Patient Equipment Transport Services), Wound Care, and Central Supply. My favorite department is PETS because you can go in different rooms to deliver equipment to the stations and then you take dirty equipment to PETS so it could be clean. I have been team lead this week. I like getting the day started with discussions about how they are doing and talk about the national day (that I picked). We have explored the hospital, we are learning the locations.
Have a good weekend!
Nasir

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,

Hello my name is Cody. This is my first time being a team lead and also today is my birthday, I turned 19 years old! I did Job shadowing this week in Transportation and they told me I did very well and that I was doing a great job with eye contact. I learned lots of new things at Project SEARCH and Kootenai Healththis week. I've learned about good hand hygiene, working as a team and making eye contact with people when they are talking to me. I am also learning about other people and my surroundings like the roads and the sidewalks and the hallways. I am learning about using the mirrors in the hospital to guide me. I'm super excited to learn more!
