One of the biggest marketing scams in history is Gatorade.
Gatorade markets that they are the perfect performance drink given that itβs packed with electrolytes.
Electrolytes are a fancy name for the minerals potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium. These minerals make up about 1.89% of our body weight and are vital to nerve and muscle function. Electrolytes are chemicals that conduct electricity when mixed with water, which is how they allow our muscles to contract and our bodies to move.
When we sweat, we lose both water and electrolytes.
Gatorade is filled with synthetic and chemically made electrolytes, processed sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and food dyes. Gatorade is scientifically proven to not improve athletic performance at all. Gatorade being known as an athletic performance enhancer is due to nothing more than good marketing by the team down in Florida.
When I get done with my morning workouts I love to break my fast with delicious honeydew.
Honeydew is made up of 90% water, and filled with all 4 electrolytes- potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium- which is everything that I sweat out during my workout.
We must realize that man can not create anything that Mother Nature hasnβt already provided for us.
Loving yourself deeper means to stop drinking synthetic Gatorade and to start eating Mother Natureβs Gatorade, which grows on trees and in gardens across the land β€οΈ
