When Miss Uganda Trivia Elle Muhoza took the Miss World 2026 stage, she wore “Layers of Life,” a gown inspired by the seven layers involved in a C-section and the incredible process the body goes through to bring life into the world.
Designed by KEESHA, a new mom herself, the dress was deeply personal, a celebration of childbirth, womanhood, and the strength behind a procedure that is so common, yet rarely understood for just how physically profound it is.
A C-section is major abdominal surgery, requiring doctors to cut through multiple layers of tissue to reach the uterus and deliver the baby. The recovery can take weeks, making the dress a striking visual representation of just how much a mother’s body goes through during childbirth.
