TIP TUESDAY: OB EDITION

Your baby does not care that we have an ultrasound scheduled.

They may face the wrong way.
They may cover their face.
They may curl into a tiny ball and refuse to cooperate.

Basically… they’re already practicing being your child. 😂💛

A little movement, a snack, or changing positions may help encourage baby to give us a better view!

A little p*ek inside can help your provider get a better idea of what’s going on without your body having to send 47 more confusing signals first. 👀

For certain ultrasounds, especially pelvic or early pregnancy scans, a full bladder helps create a clearer “window” so the sonographer can see the uterus and surrounding structures better.

If you accidentally p*e before your appointment… don’t panic. 😂 Just let your ultrasound tech know! Depending on the type of scan, they may have you drink more water and wait a little, or they may still be able to complete the ultrasound.

And yes… this happens more often than you think. 💛
