Plant looking a little too lime green? It’s probably hungry.
That pale, almost neon green — especially when it starts on the older, lower leaves first — is one of the most common things we see out here: a nitrogen deficiency.
Nitrogen is what keeps your plant that deep, healthy green. When there’s not enough, the plant starts pulling it out of the old growth to feed the new shoots up top. That’s why the bottom fades first.
The fix is simple — feed it some nitrogen.
🌱 A nitrogen-forward feed like a 2-1-1 is your best bet for this, since that first number (N) is doing the heavy lifting.
🌱 A balanced 4-4-4 works too as a gentle all-purpose boost, just a little slower to correct it.
Go light on the first feed and let her tell you what she needs. Greens back up fast once she’s fed.
