C. Acne bacteria is a symptom of the acne process. It’s not the first bullet point on the list of this cascade to an acne lesion.
Acne starts with a DHT sensitivity caused by any number of things like:
•Bad diets causing gut health and detox pathway issues
•Exposure to environmental factors causing gut health and detox pathway issues.
•Hormone imbalances like Thyroid issues, PCOS, hormone replacement therapies.
• Chronic Inflammation in the body (gut, skin, nervous system, what have you)
Bacteria feeds on sebum, sebum is increased with DHT conversion and subsequent inflammation caused by this process.
Bacteria will cause red, inflamed lesions but is not the cause of your acne. People can have non-inflamed acne or a combination of both.
While it is helpful to address the bacteria when treating acne, we need to address the underlying cause(s) as well.
I take a multi faceted approach to acne and thats why when you commit to seeing me and commit to the process, it works!
