The Serenity Center Our Center offers 500+ weekly participants opportunities for learning about abstinence, sobriety, personal growth, and change to functional behaviors.

The Serenity Center was established in 1993 by people in recovery as a non-profit organization to provide a safe and loving environment in Maryland that supports and encourages the discovery of physical, emotional, and spiritual growth through Twelve Step The secretaries, facilitators and sponsors of our 50+ fellowships are committed servants, and we are grateful for their leadership. Anonymity an

d confidentiality have allowed many to recover from a variety of addictions + dysfunctional behaviors. During the last 2 years we have been able to offer 4 group acupuncture sessions funded by the Horizon Foundation. Now the Tai Sophia Institute is continuing these 4 sessions, and TSC is paying for needles + supplies.

Reminder: Tomorrow, Saturday, May 5th. Delicious barbecue and Vegan options will be served (one free ticket per person). Drinks provided. Optional-Bring a dessert or favorite dish. please bring personal check or cash for lots of cool auction items ( Orioles, Merriweather tickets, restaurant and grocery gift certificates, assorted baskets, etc). New Meeting at the Serenity Center!
Ma*****na Anonymous
Saturday evenings at 8:30 p.m.
Ma*****na Anonymous is a 12-step program for those who may be
physically or psychologically addicted to ma*****na. MA's book Life
with Hope offers this definition of a ma*****na addict:
"Ma*****na controls our lives! We lose interest in all else; our
dreams go up in smoke. Ours is a progressive illness often leading us
to addictions to other drugs, including alcohol. Our lives, our
thinking, and our desires center around ma*****na—scoring it,
dealing it, and finding ways to stay high."
If you know someone who may have a problem with ma*****na,
please pass on the good news that this 12-step program has come
to Columbia! The only requirement for membership is a desire to
stop using ma*****na; all who think they may have a problem are
welcome.
There are no dues or fees to participate; a basket is passed at each
one-hour meeting for voluntary contributions.
