👀 Pink Eye: What You Need to Know! 👀
Pink eye (conjunctivitis) is common and can spread easily—especially when kids are back in school. But how do you know when it’s something you can manage at home and when it’s time to seek medical care?
Common symptoms include:
👁️ Redness or irritation
💧 Watery eyes
😣 Itching or burning
🟡 Discharge or crusting around the eye
👀 Swelling or sensitivity
Pink eye can be caused by viruses, bacteria, allergies, or other irritants, so not every case requires antibiotic treatment.
Help prevent the spread by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching or rubbing your eyes, and not sharing towels, pillows, makeup, or eye drops.
If symptoms are severe, worsening, affecting your vision, or you’re unsure of the cause, it’s a good idea to have your eyes evaluated. 🩺
