🌱 A diagnosis can change your path, but it does not have to define your future.

Thriving beyond breast cancer can include building mental resilience, discovering more of yourself, and finding support along the way. Our guide, “Looking Well Beyond Breast Cancer,” offers encouragement for survivors moving forward through education and self-discovery.

Because every survivor deserves resources, community, and year-round breast health awareness.

Explore the guide and connect with the Breast Cancer Survivorship Foundation by emailing [email protected].

The BCSF is asking you for a $50 donation to help us reach our goal of $10,000 during the month of October. This will provide 33 breast ultrasounds
at no-charge to women in need. Many skip getting screened due to high out-of-pocket cost.

What breast-health topic would make your next conversation with a doctor feel clearer? 💗

Tell us what you want explained next: screening options, breast density, questions for doctors, or another topic. Your input helps guide meaningful education and community support.

Checking with everyone I know to ask you to check on all the women in your life (wife, mother, sister, colleagues,) to make sure annual mammograms are part of their annual health & wellness checks. Remind them to bring the last two scans electronically to appointments so the radiologist can give a complete review. Mammograms support early detection and save lives. If categorized as dense, a supplemental screening, such as a breast ultrasound or MRI is needed.

Did you know one in eight women will face a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and far too many are under 40? Worst of all, many women will skip screening because after childcare, rent or mortgage, groceries, clothing, utilities, and basic needs, there’s little left for personal care.

I’m running a fundraiser to provide 30+ women with a free breast ultrasound scan through HerScan. Can you donate.

The Breast Cancer Survivorship Foundation has a goal of raising $10,000 this month to provide 33 free breast ultrasounds for women who can’t afford the out-of-pocket cost. Each scan is $295, and many women with dense breast tissue have no insurance coverage for this critical screening. We go beyond the pink—we help women get the care they need, when they need it. Every donation helps a woman in need.

💗 Closing breast cancer healthcare inequity gaps takes more than concern, it takes people willing to put their skills to work.

For the Breast Cancer Survivorship Foundation, education, advocacy, resources, and community engagement are central to supporting women of color facing inequity in breast cancer outcomes. Healthcare knowledge can strengthen education. Technology expertise can help expand access to information. Business-management experience can support thoughtful, sustainable nonprofit leadership.

Board service is one meaningful way skilled professionals can contribute beyond a single moment of awareness. If you care about breast health, survivorship, and more equitable outcomes, your perspective may help strengthen this work.

💌 We know a new diagnosis can feel overwhelming, that first week brings a lot of uncertainty. Our community volunteers are quietly assembling care packages to offer small comforts and helpful information.

Each box includes a handwritten note, cozy comfort items, and clear resource information chosen with care, personal touches meant to say “you’re not alone.”

Early detection improves outcomes, and our outreach is one way we support patients beyond the exam room.

What can community support look like after a breast cancer diagnosis? 🤝

The Breast Cancer Survivorship Foundation brings people together through community activities that share survivor stories, encourage breast health awareness, and connect women, particularly women of color, with resources and education. These conversations can help make support feel more accessible and less isolating.
