What a Weekend!
The 144th Annual Convention was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who make Maryland pharmacy stronger every day. Thank you to everyone who joined us in Ocean City for a weekend filled with education, networking, fellowship, and fun.
A heartfelt thank you to Mark Hindman for his outstanding leadership and dedication during his year as MPhA President. His commitment to the profession and the association has helped move MPhA forward in meaningful ways, and we are grateful for his service.
We also extend our warmest congratulations to Eriny Victor, who was installed as the 2026–2027 MPhA President. We look forward to the year ahead under her leadership and vision.
The weekend was filled with memorable moments—from those who braved the early morning beach walk to the conversations and laughs shared around the beach fire pit. It was a great reminder that some of the best parts of convention happen outside the meeting rooms.
We were also thrilled to celebrate this year's outstanding award recipients:
Mentor Award: Salematou T-Uwalaka, PharmD, BCPS, CCHP
Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award: Amy Kruger Howard, MS, PharmD, FFIP
Innovation Award: Rodolfo (Antonio) Romero, PharmD
Pharmacy Advocate Award: Marie-Therese Oyalowo, BS, PharmD, BCOP, RN, FNAP
Honorary President (Posthumous): The Honorable John Frederick Fader, II
Seidman Distinguished Service Award: Christine Lee, PharmD
Bowl of Hygeia Award: Brian Hose, PharmD, FACA
Congratulations as well to all of our student award recipients and scholarship winners. Your hard work, dedication, and passion for the profession are inspiring, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish in the years ahead.
Finally, we'd love your help! If you snapped photos throughout the weekend—whether during CE sessions, social events, the sunrise beach walk, the fire pit, or anywhere in between—please share them with us. We'd love to feature your favorite convention memories in our upcoming photo gallery.
Thank you again to everyone who attended, presented, volunteered, exhibited, and sponsored this year's convention. We can't wait to do it all again next year!
