Seven years. 🥹
I moved into this apartment seven years ago thinking I was just moving into an apartment. Turns out, I was moving into an entire chapter of my life.
I have laughed here, cried here, celebrated here, made questionable decorating decisions here 😂, changed my mind approximately 47,000 times here, built a business here, loved people here, lost things here, found myself here—and somehow accumulated enough stuff to suggest I was preparing to open a small HomeGoods.
This place saw seven years of me becoming me.
And I loved it. I loved the hardwood floors, the light, my little corners, the way everything eventually found its place. I loved coming home here. There are memories tucked into every damn room.
Today I put the keys in the drop box, and that tiny little action felt WAY bigger than it had any business feeling.
But here’s the funny thing about life: sometimes it makes you leave a place you’re completely comfortable in because apparently it has decided you need a new chapter whether you requested one or not. Rude. 😂
So I’m leaving a home I adored and heading into something new—with Panda, an obscene amount of skincare, entirely too much furniture for one human being, and a whole lot of gratitude.
I thought I’d be sad to close this door.
And I am.
But I’m also really excited to see what happens when I open the next one. ❤️
Goodbye, little apartment. You were so, so good to me.
Seven years. A million memories. No regrets. 🥹❤️
