We are incredibly honored and grateful to share that last night at the Big Give hosted by , Trinity Maternal Wellness was selected as 1 of 3 finalists out of 37 organizations — and we were awarded 2nd place!

This $6,000 grant will directly support the development of our Momma & Baby Wellness Hub — a space designed to combine our maternal wellness programming, resource navigation, education, and tangible supplies to support mothers, babies, and families throughout Howard County.

We are deeply appreciative of the continued support the Women’s Giving Circle has shown us since the very beginning of our initiative. Their commitment to uplifting women and girls, advancing philanthropy, and investing in community-driven change is truly inspiring, and we are honored to be part of that vision.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our mission and the work we are doing to improve maternal and infant wellness in our community. 💕🩵

Friday evening I had the honor of providing opening remarks for The Ebony Canal screening and panel discussion Morgan State University

This powerful documentary, narrated by Viola Davis and directed by Emmai Alaquiva, examines the deep connection between Black infant mortality, maternal health, and the systems that continue to impact Black and Brown mothers and babies. The film does more than share data; it centers stories, grief, resilience, healing, and the urgent need for solution-driven change.

What followed the screening was a deep and necessary conversation about our collective community fight for maternal health. This work is more than research, education, or outreach alone. It is a commitment to preparing the next generation, listening to families, strengthening community partnerships, and pushing forward until every mother and baby has the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you to the organizations who made this event , Director , panelists , community members, students, and advocates who helped bring this important conversation to the National Treasure.

The work continues. The fight continues. And we move forward together.

Happy Mother’s Day to my Momma 💐💕

I am who I am as a mother because of who you are.

Your love, strength, prayers, sacrifices, and example have shaped me in more ways than I could ever fully explain. You have shown me what it means to love deeply, give selflessly, stand strong, and keep going even when life is heavy.

So much of the mother I am today comes from watching you — the way you care, the way you lead, the way you show up, and the way you love your family with your whole heart.

Thank you for being my first example of motherhood, my safe place, my teacher, and one of my greatest blessings. I pray that you feel all the love and appreciation you deserve today and always.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy. I love you so much 💕
