💜 You can’t see what a dementia caregiver carries—but that doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.

It may look like they're simply helping someone they love.

But inside that invisible backpack are…

Medications to remember.
Appointments to schedule.
Bills to pay.
Work responsibilities.
Family who still needs them.
Safety concerns that never completely disappear.
Sleepless nights.
Guilt.
Grief.
And the endless “What ifs?”

What if they fall?
What if they wander?
What if they stop eating?
What if things get worse?
Am I doing enough?

And somehow, the caregiver is expected to carry all of it while continuing with everyday life.

That's the part people don't always see.

Dementia caregiving isn't only physically exhausting. The emotional and mental load can be just as heavy.
