There’s something special about experiencing Black Women in Nature for the first time. 🌿

You may come for the hike, the fresh air, or simply to try something new—but so often, you leave with something you didn’t expect: a new connection, a sense of belonging, a moment to breathe, or a reminder that there is space for you here.

We love hearing reflections like this from women experiencing our community for the first time. Because this is what we hope to cultivate every time we gather. Spaces where Black women can connect with nature, with one another, and with themselves.

And there is so much more we hope to grow. 🌱

Join us Saturday, Sept 5 for Black Outside! 🥾☀️🌿

We’re excited to be collaborating with our fam Black Men Build- Columbus for a day of nature, mindful movement and community care at Hocking Hills State Park on Saturday, Sept 5th.

Black Outside is an invitation to step away from the noise, breathe a little deeper, move your body, meet your people and experience the outdoors in community.

Our nature experience will include:

🥾a guided hike through Old Man’s Cave + Gatewood Trail
✨ meditation and gentle yoga
🌿reflective dialogue
☀️light refreshments

Dress comfortably, invite a friend and meet us outside!

Thank you JUST FRIENDS EVENTS for awarding Black Women In Nature as a first runner up for the Civic Excellence Award at the Garden Party Classic!

Creating healing spaces for Black Women in the outdoors is our heartwork and we thank you for seeing and celebrating us ✨
