Grandma's China.
Mom said “I know it’s stupid for this to sit in boxes in the basement but I just can’t. When I’m gone, do whatever you want with it.”
Then she was gone.
I had a half a mind to take it all home and just rage smash it all in the street while deep in my grief. I wanted to shatter those dishes like her death shattered my heart. Instead….I brought it home.

Most families don't realize they have a choice when it comes to hospice, and that lack of knowledge can cost them dearly during one of the hardest moments of their lives.
You are allowed to interview hospice agencies. You are allowed to ask hard questions. You are allowed to switch providers if the care isn't right. And you are allowed to trust your gut.
